Recommendations Bike Computer w/ Bluetooth

I have a road bike that is hooked up to an indoor trainer so that I can cycle indoors during the colder seasons. I have a cheap bike computer that doesn't work that well, and works even less when the bike is hooked up as a stationary bike. The mileage is off and it is really hard to get it do what I want, such as turning it off or on. Arg

Soo, I am looking to buy a new bike computer that is easier to deal with, more accurate, and that I can connect on my phone through an app.  Any suggestions?

When you use the bike with the indoor trainer, does it still have the front wheel spinning so you can use an ordinary bike computer with sensor mounted to the wheel?

The back wheel is mounted and spinning and the front is stable. So my little cheap computer has the sensor on the back wheel right now.

Okay, I found this kit on Amazon. It’s just two sensors that you put on the bike. One for measuring cadence and one for cycling speed. What I like about this setup, is that it uses your iPhone for the computing so you can use apps like Strava and Cyclemeter. It is a bit expensive though. I haven’t tried any of them. Some of the reviewers complain about connection issues so I would go and talk to a bicycle specialist (like Cycloteket in Sweden) before buying any of them.

» Amazon.com : Wahoo RPM Cycling Speed and Cadence Sensor, Bluetooth/ANT+ : Sports & Outdoors

Other than that there are lots of All-in-one bike computers to choose from. I would choose one that has the features you want and good ratings on Amazon. It seems that Garmin and Cateye get the highest ratings but are by far most expensive too.

This one is cheap (14.99 USD) and has pretty good ratings. I would probably try one like that first and know that I might end up with one of the more expensive brand names in the end. A wired sensor likely is more accurate than wireless ones.

Ok, I like the first one you suggested. I guess that is all I need right now since my bike is hooked up to an indoor trainer at the moment and I can easily read my phone. However, when it is summer again, I will need to either invest in the Garmin bike computer, or perhaps just a phone mount.

I would go with the phone mount. They are very cheap.
