Drones delivering blood in Rwanda
These drones can fly up to 75 kilometers to drop packets of blood and other medical supplies in remote areas. That saves many lives. I guess they save money too, compared to using human-crewed helicopters or building more blood centrals.

How do they ensure the supplies land safely?

It looks like they just package them with enough padding. And a bag of blood probably is quite durable. If they were to deliver a donors heart, or something very expensive, maybe they would deliver it by some other type of transport.
